Biegeleben, Ludwig
(1812-1872),
diplomat. Hessian (Darmstadt) chargé d'affaires in Vienna in 1840; under secretary of state in the foreign ministry of the Frankfurt central government in August 1848; entered the Austrian civil service in 1850; strongly involved in preparations for the Frankfurt Fürstentag in 1863; Austria's second plenipotentiary at the London conference of 1864; created baron in 1872.
