Bestelmeyer, Joann Georg
(1785-1852),
tobacco manufacturer and politician. In 1825 moved to Nuremberg, where he was chairman of the Gemeindekollegium, Magistratsrat, second mayor and Landtag deputy; a keen supporter of the 1848 movement, he gave up the office of second mayor in 1849.
