Abercromby, Ralph
(1803-1868),
from 1858 second Baron Dunfermline. British diplomat. Started his career as attaché at Frankfort 1821. Secretary of legation in Prussia 1831-1835, minister resident in Tuscany 1835; envoy extraordinary and minister plenipotentiary to the German Confederation 1839, to Sardinia 1840-1852 and to the Netherlands 1852-1858.
