Blind, Karl
(1826-1907),
revolutionary and journalist from Baden. Member of Hecker's volunteer corps in April 1848; thereafter fleeing to Strasbourg; involved in the putsch attempt led by Struve (September 1848); sentenced to five years' imprisonment (March 1849). Set free in May 1849; thereafter in the service of the revolutionary Landesausschuß and the revolutionary government's diplomatic agent in Paris; from December 1853 journalist in London.
